Iva Kosović Duvin | Founder & Principal


A creative expert in nonprofit development, connected to Miami’s leading cultural and civic institutions; a proven track record of successful leadership within a broad range of mission-driven initiatives.

Prior to launching Duvin Collaborative, Iva served as the Vice President of Advancement and Community Engagement at the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science, where she provided strategic leadership in community engagement and philanthropic support, including leading all fundraising activities, constituent communication strategies, government and community relations, foundation giving, grants, individual giving, corporate sponsorships, annual giving, special events, and other types of funding and external relations programs.

Before joining Frost Science, Duvin spent ten years with the New World Symphony, America’s Orchestral Academy (NWS), a prominent Miami-based institution that prepares graduates of distinguished music programs for leadership roles in professional orchestras and ensembles. During her tenure at NWS, she built relationships with a wide variety of corporate and individual funders and oversaw the Executive Committee of Friends of NWS – the organization’s highly acclaimed membership program for emerging leaders and philanthropists. As the symphony’s Director of Development, Special Events, she helped transform the annual gala into one of the most successful advancement programs for the institution. In addition, Duvin served as an integral part of the team that managed the opening of the New World Center, NWS’s Frank Gehry- designed home, unveiled in 2011.

Duvin has served on committees in support of several non-profit organizations in greater Miami, including Miami City Ballet, Coconut Grove Cares and No More Tears. She is a member of the Arts Leadership Council for University Hospitals of Cleveland and sits on the board of the Miami Girls Foundation, a non-profit media platform with a mission to empower women in South Florida. She regularly serves as a grant panelist for the Florida Department of State; Division of Cultural Affairs.

A classically trained pianist, Duvin immigrated to the US from Croatia at the age of 17 and studied piano performance at the University of Miami and Florida International University under the tutelage of Ivan Davis and Kemal Gekic. She holds a Master’s Degree in Performing Arts Management and a Bachelor’s Degree in Classical Piano Performance from FIU.
